About The Plaid Image
The Plaid Image was created by Photographer Jared Davies in 2005 in Wilmington, Delaware.
Currently residing in the beautiful state of Nevada, specializing in the photography of our natural world and the activities we participate in to enjoy and preserve it.
Purpose
My hope is for my images to inspire people to get outside and explore their local wild places and in the process gain a desire to help preserve the natural world that surrounds them.

History of The Plaid Image
I started creating images of the world around me while I was a teenager on Long Island, NY. While finishing High School in New Mexico I worked for a local portrait photographer, Don Taylor. While working there I was able develop my technical skills in photography. After High School and a few years of college I attended Hallmark Institute of Photography, where I refined my technical skills even further and gained valuable experience creating images through an assignment based program. Upon graduation from Hallmark I received a job working as a Commercial Photographer in Philadelphia, PA for a printing company, Berry and Homer. There I gained more valuable training in the field of Commercial Photography. In 2005 I created The Plaid Image in pursuit of my career as a commercial photographer. The Plaid Image started in Wilmington, Delaware, specializing in commercial photography and flora & fauna stock images. In 2010 I moved The Plaid Image to Nevada to focus my photography career on flora and fauna stock images and adventure sport photography.
